The Great Fire by `lindelokse
Suggester words:"An outstanding creation; the illusion of a shallow depth of field is mesmerising, and I enjoy the painterly aesthetic of the piece. The colour choice is beautiful, and the quality of light that it generates is enthralling."

Vision: To me, this almost looks like a rain of fire, with trees being swallowed by the blaze towards the bottom. In contrast, one can also see the peaceful glow of a soft flame at the top. The contrast, while perhaps not intended, makes the piece more interesting.
Originality: I have absolutely never seen any fractal like this. I don't always look at the full view of images that pop up on my deviant watch screen, but this one really caught my eye. Fantastic.
Technique: In more amateur fractal images, stray particles and poorly-placed code blur or distort the intended image. I see none of that here, or, if there is any, it only enhances the effect.
Impact: As I wrote above, the contrast between the flame colors and the greens and blues really grabbed my attention. If I focus on the flame colors, I get the feeling of a candle, or a warm camp fire. If I turn my attention to the cooler colors, I'm reminded of a terrifying forest fire.
To sum it up, this is by far my favorite fractal image I've ever seen.
