thank you to `Xyrus02 `n8iveattitude1 and *piethein21 for the wonderful param-pong in the Aposhack ! Fellow fractalists, you should really come there sometimes and have fun with us !
let's play a little game I used 9 variations for this flame, plus post-rblur I have already mentioned. All of them can be found in the Aposhack plugin pack [link] or are built-in ones (Apophysis 7x14 version). So now try to guess... - at least one of the variations I used - or the number of transforms + final transform - or... the render quality/density I could maybe make a little journal feature for the winners aposhackers... don't cheat and don't suggest !
~a-j-s found fan2 variation ! ~halakimok found cylinder and pre_blur variations ! *heavenriver found splits and julian variations ! ~08Spectre80 found linear variation !
Oh, wow! How is it you manage such amazing 3-d effects? The touch of pink edging the glue really makes it sparkle and pop, and the blur certainly helps, too. The way the stripes flow into a sort of bulb in each of the bulb- bits definitely encourages the impression of a marble or elegantly blown glass. This looks good as a thumbnail and spectacular as a full-view, and I really dig the highlights and glints that you added. Composition-wise, this is great, although the spiral is slightly off-center and I don't particularly like it's location. It either needs to be centered vertically or even more off center- something you might consider playing with. On the other hand, that's just my impression- I could not say why it bugs me, and honestly I'm too distracted by all the other gorgeousness going on in this piece to get too up-in-arms about it. Once again, GREAT work!
I truely love this piece and seen it often. What I like the most is it's depth created by the perfect blurring. everything draws you inside the stripes the balls itself the spiral. even though its hard to see there is a spiral. which is a good thing in my opinion. the colouring is excelent and well thought as well as positioning and cropping. the sublte highlights really show the effort put into it and are sure worthy of being there. the only thing i would try to change are the small frickles (due to xaosing back to the first trans' i think) but it's not that bothering. what lindelokse is good at is using the black in advantage. you can see that here too. at the bottom there is a relative large amount of black but it's not bothering at all. its moreover giving some mystical effect to the total if you ask me. all in all a suberb work of a great artist
