Apophysis 7x and a little photoshop for hsb adjustments :)
Narya is one of the three elven rings of power (ring of fire) in Tolkien's mythology ;)
yes, it's the one Gandalf wears :giggle:

based on a elliptic-separation-cylinders combo.
please fullview to get all the nice details !

What a wonderful job Chiara !
You know I'm a big fan of what an elliptic can create when it's combine with another variation ! (like elliptic-splits)
But i would have never imagine to combine Elliptic with separation to create such kind of effect!

It's has his really own identity, and unique pattern!
It really create a wonderful nested bubbles effect.
The gradient you have choose here give a real metallic and strong aspect and impact to the flame.
The little highlight create by the perfect value of pre_blur give even more this effect to the flame.

to conculde it's a really awesome fractal with mighty details and a strong aspect and originality!

As usual a real Chef d'oeuvre

Surely not what one would call a "classic" splits/elliptic fractal! Narya by *lindelokse adds a whole new twist to a much too well known technique, giving it a completely new aspect. While the traditional patterns are still visible even for the untrained eye, what really amazes of this fractal is the excellent translucency: bright, shimmering metal, as if it was lighted up by the flames themselves, which coexist with the silvery grey in a deep, wonderful balance, the best quality compromise between two natural opposites (fire and metal). Not only the gentle, continuous red flow enlightens all the fractal, it also gives it a great amount of energy, like a magmatic eruption. An authentic, full-fledged burst of life and creativity!

This is absolutely gorgeous. I really like how the striped lines make an elegant and restrained edging for the wild swirls. Good work!

thank you very much Tara :thanks:! It's so nice to receive such a kind comment from the person which I learned most from (I'm a pupil of yours, your tutorials about Apophysis are my holy fractal bible :) ) I'm honored :aww:!

You're welcome! I still get a bit weirded out when someone says "I've learned so much from you because I'm used to telling that to people, not having people tell that to me. It makes me feel absurdly grown-up, and I'm not ready to declare myself an adult yet. Oh well. If I'm going to go write things like the Apophysis User Manual, I guess I'll just have do deal with the consequences...the fame...the fortune...the adoring fans...:D In all seriousness, I'm glad it was able to help out, especially when I see all of the amazing fractals you've made!
