Awakening

Red and teal are two of my favourite colours, so I definitely like this one. I like the way that the highlights are bright, but not overdone, and the glitter effect in the foreground gives a nice sense of depth. The brightness, contrasted with the dark background, also suits the title of 'Awakening' well. The composition is excellent - having the sphere in the corner offsets the rest of the fractal very well. The only thing that bothers me slightly is that there's a bit too much depth blur for my tastes - it would have been nice to have it reduced a little, so that we can see some more of the detail on the flowers in the middle.
